Winter Lights Festival @ Milford, PA
Feb 4, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Now in its fourth year, the Winter Lights Festival is a much beloved local tradition – an annual celebration of ice skating, sculpture, food and music.  This year’s opening ceremony will be an original presentation entitled Viva La Vida - Live Life, based on the life and paintings of Frida Kahlo as revieled through a raucous, life affirming, Day-of-the-Dead Celebration on Saturday, January 28th, in Ann Street park (5th Street between Ann and Catherine) at 3pm.  It will incorporate the work of the Ice Theater of NY, the Boundless Edge Dance Ensemble, Bond Street’s fire jugglers, stilt walkers and mimes, and the giant puppets of the Puppeteers Cooperative, set in the backdrop of beautiful Historic Milford and the unique ice sculptures of local artist Tom Holmes.
