When Pike sizzles
With so many rushing waterfalls, glistening lakes, sparkling rivers and sandy beaches throughout Pike County, there is always a refreshing way to cool off after a hot day in the sun. Aside from lying in the sand sunbathing, the water offers a welcome respite after spending a day boating, kayaking and canoeing. There is nothing more gratifying then taking a dip in the rippling water after hiking, mountain biking or sightseeing. Pike County also has many cozy hotels, decorative motels and quaint bed and breakfasts that have swimming pools for those who like to splash indoors after the sun goes down and the lakes get cooler. So make sure you bring a bathing suit and swimming mask during your next visit to the area. You never know when you might want to jump in the water! |
