Four miles west of Milford, Pike County Park is reached by turning right on Route 6W at the top of the S-curve hill above the town. This is Schocopee Road (see sign for Black Walnut Inn). After a short distance, you pass under I-84; take the next left turn. This continues Schocopee Road (Woodtown Road on Delaware State Forest public use maps). 2.5 miles ahead, a left fork takes you to the Park and the parking area on the left. Lily Pond is off to your right and the Raptor Center is on the left below the dam. There are five trails here to enjoy and a connector to a deeper hike into the Delaware State Forest (#9, 10, 11)

From Foundation Trail, continue on the pond road past the gate. You’re now on Craft Farm Road. It parallels Craft Brook, which feeds Lily Pond, out to the homestead area (about 1 mile) where Dr. Craft brought his family from NYC in 1865. The state forestry bureau has razed the house for safety...

Foundation Trail
Down the road from Huckleberry Trail at the end of Lily Pond, an old woods road leads off to the left. This is a very satisfying hike along the long-out-of-use, rutted road for a good ¾ mile through beautiful upland woods to another tributary of the Savantine. The road continues on the other...

Huckleberry Trail
From the parking lot on the other side of Lily Pond Dam, look for a barely visible path into the woods on the left as the road turns. It’s a short ¼ mile over a low ridge to where Savantine Creek flows from a small swamp.

Loop Trail
From the end of the parking lot, head out through the pines to a meadow and a rocky area above where the Craft Brook makes a turn to meet the Sawkill. Off to the left, you will see an old woods road which follows the brook then loops around to Schocopee Road. You are now in the Milford Experimental...

Range Trail
On the way out to the Craft Farm, you cross a pipeline. Coming back, take it down over Craft Brook and up to the next high ridge to Range Trail. The track along the pipeline is rough, so be conscious of your footing. Also, you may have to leap from stone to stone to cross the Craft. When you reach...
