Craft Farm Road Trail

From Foundation Trail, continue on the pond road past the gate. You’re now on Craft Farm Road. It parallels Craft Brook, which feeds Lily Pond, out to the homestead area (about 1 mile) where Dr. Craft brought his family from NYC in 1865. The state forestry bureau has razed the house for safety reasons and the old fields have been taken over by barberry, but possibly you can visualize the idyllic spot is was 140 years ago.
