At the far end of Pine Flats Road where it intersects with Hay Road Middle Branch, take a right and follow around to the intersection with Highline Road (3/4 miles). Turn right and follow it north along the powerline to Hobday Road and out to Route 402, well above Pecks Pond. Note several spur trails along the way, such as Hay, Kinney and Biff Camp. The distance to Route 402 from Pine Flats is about 8 miles.
