Joseph M. McDade Recreational Trail is a planned recreational trail which extends for 37 miles along the river
valley on the Pennsylvania side. Two segments are open for hiking, biking, and crosscountry skiing. 1. A segment of 5 miles runs parallel to River Road northward from Hialeah Picnic Area toTurn Farm Trailhead near park Headquarters. 2. A second section of the trail runs 2.7 miles southward from Milford Beach to Pittman Orchard (near Raymondskill Road).
These two sections of the trail do not interconnect. Additional sections of the trail from the village of Bushkill to Valley View Campground, and from Rt. 739 to Adams Creek Trailhead.
