Pond Eddy Trails

Beyond the entrance to Buckhorn, Firetower Road continues and descends to a circular clearing that can be used for parking. You are now in the State gamelands. As you enter the clearing, there is a hiking trail off to your right and a hiking road off to the left. The first is about 2 miles to the small village of Pond Eddy on the Delaware; the second is about 4 miles to the same area(the road deadends near Pond Eddy Creek, the major stream in the area; look for a trail on the nearside and follow downstream; be sure to consult the map).
