Not far off Rt. 6 on 590 at the northwestern
end of the Lake, is this natural area’s parking and information center. Access to the
main, or Blue Trail, is right here and parallels the shoreline most of the way. About
3 miles, it takes about 1 ½ hours, and it is recommended to hike counterclockwise(up
the hill) from the parking area. Enjoy the many varieties of trees and wildlife…There
are other unmarked trails, especially the one along the 60-acre Beech House Creek
Wildlife Refuge.
