Across Route 402 from the High Knob entrance road is The Tarkill Forest Demonstration Area. There is a gated access a short way up Route 402 and 2 miles down Route 402 in the Maple Run Parking Area. Along this marked trail you will see identified trees, examples of forest management practices and interpretive signs.
