A mile-and-a-half further down Route 209 from Eshback is Toms Creek’s trailhead. Turn at the sign onto Egypt Mills Road and follow it a short distance to the Toms Creek Picnic Area. From the picnic area, an old road runs alongside the creek. It is a short hike which soon starts criss-crossing the stream. If inclined, take your shoes off, put your toes in the cold water, hobble across the rough slippery streambed and continue. About a ½ mile up this trail is a 1 mile spur over to Egypt Mills Pond. Once there, another trail loops back to the trailhead.
